Getting started
- Connect the scanner to the correct vehicle diagnostic connector.
- Switch the ignition on.
- Use AutoVIN where available or select the vehicle manually.
- Open the required vehicle system for codes, live data, service functions or active tests supported by the device.
Compatibility and generation
LR V2.0 covers supported Jaguar and Land Rover models from approximately 1996 onward.
Software updates
iCarsoft LR V2.0 includes lifetime free software updates with no annual diagnostic subscription. This generation is updated through a Windows PC / USB workflow rather than Wi-Fi.
Troubleshooting
AutoVIN does not identify the vehicle
Try manual vehicle selection and update the scanner first. AutoVIN availability varies by model and ECU.
A service or active-test function is missing
Functions are vehicle- and ECU-specific. A function listed for the scanner family may not be exposed by every model or model year.
A fault returns after clearing
Record relevant freeze-frame and live data first. Persistent active faults need diagnosis and repair rather than repeated clearing.
