Getting started

  1. Connect the diagnostic cable and the correct vehicle connector.
  2. Switch the ignition on and allow the scanner to boot.
  3. Select the correct vehicle or protocol, using automatic identification where available.
  4. Run the required system scan, code read, live-data or supported service function.

Compatibility

Coverage depends on the exact make, model, year, diagnostic protocol and installed ECU configuration.

Important: HD V3.0 is primarily a diagnostic scanner. The newer HD V4.0 adds touchscreen operation, Wi-Fi updates and dedicated heavy-duty service functions.

Software updates

iCarsoft HD V3.0 includes lifetime free software updates. This generation updates through a Windows PC / USB process rather than Wi-Fi.

Troubleshooting

The scanner powers on but will not communicate

Confirm stable vehicle voltage, correct connector/protocol, ignition ON and current scanner software. On heavy-duty vehicles also verify the correct truck protocol and physical adapter.

Fault codes return after clearing

Persistent active faults can reset immediately. Record relevant data first and repair the underlying issue before clearing again.
