Who is the iCarsoft MB V3.0 for?
The MB V3.0 is designed for Mercedes-Benz owners, enthusiasts and independent workshops that need more than a basic engine-code reader. It can access supported control modules throughout the vehicle and adds active component testing, service procedures and manufacturer-specific diagnostics in a standalone tool that does not require a phone or computer during diagnosis.
Full-system Mercedes-Benz diagnostics
On supported vehicles, the MB V3.0 can access systems such as the engine, automatic transmission, ABS, airbag/SRS, electronic parking brake, steering, body electronics, climate control, instrument cluster and other manufacturer-specific control units.

Bidirectional active tests
The MB V3.0 supports bidirectional control on supported Mercedes-Benz systems. This allows the scanner to command components during diagnosis instead of relying only on stored fault codes and live data.
Depending on the vehicle and control unit, active tests can be used for supported actuators such as pumps, valves, fans, windows, locks and other electronically controlled components.
39 service and maintenance functions
iCarsoft lists 39 service functions for the MB V3.0. Availability depends on the exact vehicle and installed control units. Commonly supported procedures include:

Mercedes-Benz compatibility and connection
- Standard 16-pin OBD2: Included connection for most supported modern Mercedes-Benz, Sprinter, Smart and Maybach vehicles.
- Older Mercedes-Benz: Selected pre-2003 passenger cars use the round 38-pin connector and require the separate iCarsoft PIN38 adapter.
- Early Sprinter: Selected early Sprinter T1N / early NCV3 vehicles use a 14-pin diagnostic connector and require the appropriate adapter.
Examples of older Mercedes-Benz models that may require the 38-pin adapter
iCarsoft lists models including C-Class W202, E-Class W210, S-Class W140, CLK W208, SLK R170 and SL R129 among vehicles that may use the 38-pin diagnostic connector depending on production year.
Connection matters: if the vehicle uses the standard 16-pin OBD2 socket, no legacy adapter is required. If it has the older round Mercedes-Benz diagnostic socket, use the matching adapter.
